HBHS Team Room
In attendance: Brian Anderson, Heather Breyer, Ryan Camps, Mark Canner, Kari Fury, Annie Preston, Kristen Shearer, Loren Salazar, Jack Stephens, Mike Strout, and Kim Williams. Also in attendance were Sonia Dompke, Erin Saunders, Carolyn Osborne, and Janice Wojchicec. The meeting was called to order by Kristen Shearer at 7:03pm. A motion by Kristen Shearer to approve the November minutes as submitted, 2nd by Mike Strout, all in favor, motion approved.
President’s Report – Kristen Shearer We need to order the balls for the girl’s and boy’s water polo seasons. The Hall of Fame dinner/fundraiser is on December 19th and would be nice to have representation from Aquatics at the event.
Action Item – Kari Furry will get a list of new ball purchases and renewals to Kristen Shearer so an order can be placed.
Secretary’s Report – Annie Preston Next meeting will be Monday, January 6th at 7pm. Treasurer’s Report –Kari Furry The accounts are solvent. The cost for offering Pay Pal is 2.2% of the sale + .30 cents per transaction. Since we have The Square, no need to duplicate efforts at this time. If we decide to funnel sales through the website, it may be something to look at again down the line. Coaches Report - Brian Anderson
The Boy’s season is done and the banquet is next week. Brian is working with Brett Athay on the equipment for the Aquatics gym. Equipment is refurbished and there is a chance of it being donated. It would be nice to have Aquatics signage in the gym. A complete request list will be organized but initially, we need more kettle balls and bars. Coaches Report – Heather Breyer
Candace Mason, a teacher from Dwyer, has been hired as the girl’s assistant coach. Discussion – style and brand for the girl’s suit needed to be determined. Heather to work with Andrea Lule on options offered by S&R. Coaches Report – Ryan Camps
Boy’s suits need to be determined - looking for ‘thin and fast’. Ryan will work with Andrea Lule on options offered by S&R. Swim meets schedule is done. Ideal dates for the Swim Meeting are January 13-16. Once the room is booked, a SAVE THE DATE will be sent. Ryan will complete an inventory of swim equipment that is needed by the January board meeting. Ryan will be taking a class on how to use the Colorado timing system and training a parent. HBHS is hosting Sunset League finals in 2014. The League pays officials. We need a volunteer to chair a committee along with 5-7 parent volunteers. We should hire someone to manage the meet now. Ryan will put out feelers on possible candidates, how much we should expect to pay, and a tasks list leading up to the event. Fundraising opportunities discussed – sponsors for the program, food trucks, t-shirts. Brian Anderson will be the Boy’s Assistant Swim Coach.
Action Item – Ryan Camps will book the Student Center for January 13th - 16th and send SAVE THE DATE. Action Item – Ryan Camps will inventory swim equipment to determine if additional items are needed prior to the season. The girl’s off season games have started The girls have 3 tournaments in December Poway, Villa Park and Newport. Fundraising – Greg Clifford
Absent. Banners and Balls to be handled by Kristen and Mike Strout. Facilities Report – Jack Stephens New chairs were purchased for the team room. The flags will last if we put them up and take them down. We will buy a pulley and tie off so this can be done.
A motion by Jack Stephens to put up hardware on the flag pole, 2nd by Mike Strout, all in favor, motion passed. A motion by Mike Strout to buy new flags for $280, 2nd by Jack Stephens, all in favor, motion passed .

Pictures of Mark and new coaches will be taken this week. Coach Mark to email coach and player emails to Mike Strout so girls can be setup on the Huddle software.
Action Item – Mike Strout to setup the girl’s and coaches with Huddle accounts. Banquet Committees
The boy’s banquet is next week. Loren Salazar is collecting team pictures, and baby pictures for the brochure. Brian will call Jimmy Mint about the JV and freshman team picture Loren needs pictures of the coaches for the brochure. There are 5 seniors – Mike Strout will send Loren the names. The alumni game will be Saturday, December 21st and all alumni must sign the waiver. We will host a BBQ/Potluck for the alumni game. We need a $500.00 deposit to book the girl’s banquet at Mile Square Park. Ellen Clifford will open and close the snack bar for all home games during the girl’s season. Kim Williams will organize the volunteers to staff the snack bar. New Business
