Program Overview As part of an essential part of the Cultural Healing exchange program, the participants will experience firsthand the Ando-Amazonian indigenous medicine and transformation practices during half the time of the stay. These healing traditions can greatly amplify the individual healing capacity of the natural medicine practitioners. The contribution will cover up to 3ceremonies.

I (Paulina) know that you all do not have anything to do with the other clinic, but many of the group members know the others as part of Healer2Healer." Culturally and ethically speaking, let’s respect what Qanil is building. They are a group of indigenous women in a male-dominated culture within a Ladino-dominated country. Consider that their trainings and community clinics with H2H are to build a patient base for follow-up acupuncture and Reiki treatments. Sustainability and independence are their goals in order to pull away from “drive-by humanitarianism”. It is much harder to gain traction and momentum with concurrent clinics. Fairness and ethical consideration need to be upheld if we expect to deeply impact communities such as theirs.
