Reference is invited to this Department's O.M.s No.12l1/88-Estt(Pay-l)dated dated dated 10.o7.1998and OM No.12l3l20o9-Pay-l 07.08.1989,OM No.12l1/96-Estt(pay-l) in Public Sector 30.03.2010whereby guidelines for fixation of pay of candidatesworking a properly Undertakingsetc., on their appointmentas direct recruits on selectionthrough constitutedauthorityincludingdepartmentaiauthcrities,were issued' of the 7thcPC and issuance Subsequentto the implementationof the recommendations been replaced of ccs(Rp) Rutes2016, the systemof runningPay Bandsand Grade Pays have 2.

No.12l1/96-Estt(Pay-l) of No.123t2}Og-pay-ldated 30.03.2010referredto above,the methodof pay fixationin respect thoseappointedon or after01.01.2A16will be as under:,,

ln case of candidatesworking in PuLrticSector Undertakings(PSUs), Universities, post as Semi-Governmentlnstitutionsor AutonornousBodies,who are appointedto a properly direct recruits on or after 01.01.2016on selectionthrough interview by a constitutedagency includingQepartmentalAuthoritiesmaking recruitmentdirectly,their pay and initial basic pay shall be fixed at a stage in'the Level of the post so that the DearnessAllowanceas admissiblein therGovernment, protectsthe pay and Dearness Allowancedrawn in the pSU etc.. lf therrais no such stage in the post, the pay shall be fixed at the stage.nextbelowthat pay. lf the maximumpay in the Level applicableto the post in which the person is appointedis ldss than such pay arrivedat, his initialbasic pay shall be fixed at such maximumpay of the post. Similarly,if the minimumpay in the pay Level applicableto the post in which such person is appointedis more than such p,ay arrivedat, his initial basic pay shall be fi>ledat such minimumpay of the post.The fixed underthis formulationwill not exceedthe highestcell value applicablefor the Level of the po-qljn the pay matrix,to which he is appointed." . - - - ) / -

In so far as persons serving in the Indian Audit and Accounts Oepartrnentare

concerned, these orders are issued with thr-. concurrence of the Comptroller and Auditor Generalof lndia. 5.
