Severance Tax is primarily used to fund the CSCB portion of the DCT Program; any remaining funds for a given fiscal year may be used for the CSCB Matching
Grants program. Severance tax is authorized by statue 39-29-109.3 (1), (2) (b) (IV) (A), (B) for $450,000 if Tier II fully funded from Department of Natural Resources. ②
The State Legislature approves the “Long Bill” which includes a General Fund line item ($225,000) specifically for CSCB Grants.
