Dear Hale-Ray Parents/Guardians, I am reaching out to you because your son or daughter has expressed interest in attending a high school outside of the East Haddam School District. As the principal of Nathan Hale-Ray High School I wanted to extend an invitation to you and your child to visit NHRHS for a personal tour and meeting with me to discuss the opportunities and programs we provide. Our goal is to meet students’ needs and interests in a positive educational setting as they become college and career ready. We strongly believe that Hale-Ray’s comprehensive curriculum coupled with the extensive range of extracurricular activities and welcoming environment enables students to explore and develop their skills, knowledge, and sense of self as they prepare for their postsecondary plans. We are very proud of our high school and all we have to offer the East Haddam and Moodus communities. We hope that you will consider Hale-Ray as you and your child make future high school decisions. We welcome the opportunity to speak with you and invite you to attend our 8th Grade Curriculum Night on Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at 7:00pm in the high school auditorium. PowerSchool Online Registration Instructions Log on to the East Haddam Schools website: nhrhs.easthaddamschools.org to access the PowerSchool sign in page.
Click on the PowerSchool link on the NHRHS webpage
Click on the Parent Portal link to access the student sign in portal.
Use your student PowerSchool login information to sign in. If you have forgotten your information, please contact see the Nathan Hale-Ray High School counseling department. After signing into the student portal you will see the Navigation screen on the left hand side of the screen. Click on the “Class Registration” icon.

You will notice that some classes are preregistered, such as “Freshman Exploratory”, which is a required course for all incoming Freshman to take.
On the Class Registration screen, click the pencil on the right side to access course screens. Please be sure to select the appropriate course(s) in each category.
After clicking the course selection pencil, the below window opens listing the available courses for each individual category. Some classes have prerequisites that must be met in order for you to register for the course. Please be sure to register for the classes you were recommended for as we will be verifying the course selections. You should follow the same process for each category: English, Math, Science, Social Studies, Electives and Alternates.
When selecting electives, please notice that there are numerous pages of electives to scroll through. Use the buttons below the list to navigate through the list of courses. When selecting your alternates, please be sure not to duplicate electives already selected. Alternates are used to take the place of a class that may be full or unavailable at the given time.
