7th Grade UNIT 4 OVERVIEW: Waves of Change Key Vocabulary
Unit Outcomes At the end of this unit, your student should be able to: Analyze various texts in order to identify text structures, themes, point of view, and how different authors treat the same subject. Compare connotations and denotations of words. Engage in research and the writing process to produce an I-Search paper on a topic related to the theme of revolutions. Access a variety of sources, including books and online texts, take notes, and incorporate information into the I-Search paper, citing sources in a Works Cited page. Engage in the writing process to produce an informative/explanatory piece of writing. Write literary analyses and reflections with textual evidence relating the unit theme and guiding questions to the featured text and content.
