O R D E R: In the reference 1st read above, the Director of School Education, Andhra Pradesh, Hyderabad has been permitted to initiate the process of recruitment to fill up 50,063 sanctioned posts of various categories of teachers during the year 2008-09 and he was permitted to notify these vacancies in DSC-2008. 2. In the reference 2nd read above, the Director of School Education, AP Hyderabad has issued notification duly announcing the schedule for sale and receipt of applications and conduct of examinations for DSC-2008. 3. In the reference 3rd read above, the Director of School Education, AP, Hyderabad has submitted that there is unprecedented rush for the purchase of application forms by the qualified candidates as the DSC is being conducted after a lapse of three years and the age limit has been enhanced to 39 years for OCs and 44 years for BC, SC & ST candidates etc. He has informed that six lakhs applications were got printed and sent to districts for sale through post offices, and e-Seva Centers. He requested the Government to extend the last date for receipt of applications up to 31.1.2009. Government after careful examination of the proposal of the Director of School Education, AP Hyderabad extended the last date for receipt of applications for DSC-2008 up to 31.01.2009 vide reference 4th read above. 5. In view of several representations received from public representatives and candidates aspiring for teacher posts to permit the candidates with qualifications other than those mentioned in G.O.Ms.No. 161, Education (Ser.VI) Department dated 06.12.2008 and to permit all those candidates who are studying in final year of qualifying academic / professional courses and appearing for final year examination in the month of March/ April / May 2009, Government have made certain amendments to the rules issued in G.O.Ms.No.161 Education (Ser.VI) Department dated 06.12.2008 vide G.O. 5th read above. 6. In view of the amendments issued in G.O. 5th read above and in continuation of the orders issued in G.O. 4th read above, Government after careful examination hereby further extend the last date for receipt of applications for DSC-2008 up to 10.02.2009.
