Dear BES Storm Chasers, Thank you so much for getting back to me! I am so excited to have your help and I just know that, with your help, I'll find the perfect home for my family. These are the houses I've found: 1) I found a gorgeous house in Hammond, Louisiana but it was hit by Hurricane Katrina back in 2005. I’m scared to buy a new home there in case another hurricane hits the United States. 2) There is a very nice ranch out near Pine Bluff, Arkansas but there has been a terrible drought out that way for the last few years. I don’t want to settle down somewhere that might have wildfires because of a serious drought. 3) Outside of Skowhegan, Maine, there is an adorable little ski cabin that would be the perfect little house for our family. I’m just worried about blizzards. We’ve been lucky since we moved here to NH, but what would happen if we got hit by a massive blizzard? 4) I would love to move to this lovely, little home in Enid, Oklahoma that I found but I heard that Oklahoma is in Tornado Alley! I’ve never seen a tornado but I really don’t want to! The tornado in “The Wizard of Oz” was good enough for me. 5) A friend found this gorgeous place in the Florida Keys that we could rent. I would love to live by the beach and be able to enjoy the warmth and sun all year long. The only problem is, my friend told me that she sometimes sees waterspouts out on the ocean and that one of them last year caught a boat and almost sank it. What if a waterspout somehow came onshore and ripped our house apart! 6) The last place I’ve found is this cute little house on Samar Island in the Philippines. It’s the perfect place and would really let my daughters learn about another culture. I’m just not sure about the typhoons? I mean, what if we got hit by a typhoon as big as Typhoon Haiyan.
