These dedicated fundraisers pledge to raise more than $85,000 annually for New York Cares in order to improve education, meet immediate needs, and revitalize public spaces. New York Cares is New York City’s largest volunteer network, running volunteer programs for 1,300 nonprofits, city agencies, public schools, and other deserving organizations throughout the five boroughs. Every year, New York Cares mobilizes 64,000 volunteers to serve at more than 19,000 projects to meet pressing community needs. Cares Champions Participant Agreement—2018 TD Five Boro Bike Tour Participant Requirements By joining the New York Cares Champions Team, you commit to donate or raise funds of at least $1,250 by April 27, 2018 for New York Cares, a designated charity partner of the 2018 TD Five Boro Bike Tour organized by Bike New York. Your credit card information is required as a guarantee against this commitment. If your donations do not total the minimum pledge of $1,250, your credit card will be charged on April 27, 2018 for the remaining balance to fulfill that pledge. Any amount charged to your credit card will be considered a 100% taxdeductible donation. If funds are not received by the deadline, you forfeit your guaranteed entry to the 2018 TD Five Boro Bike Tour. If for some reason (including but not limited to illness, injury, etc.) you are unable to participate in the 2018 TD Five Boro Bike Tour, donations are not refundable.
