CLASS OF 2018 ALL NIGHT SENIOR PARTY NEWS Dear Parent/Guardian: Many years ago, our children started down the path of public education that led them slowly toward adulthood. It is hard to believe that this part of their lives will be drawing to a close in just one short year. Soon we will be watching them walk in their caps and gowns at graduation to receive diplomas for which they have worked so hard. Graduation is celebrated in many ways: ceremonies, open houses, and the Grandville Senior All Night Party! As tradition has it, the party will be held after graduation, on Thursday, May 24, 2018. While the location is a well-kept secret, it promises to be a night of fun, food, and entertainment that your graduate will remember for a lifetime. This party has been a tradition at Grandville High School since 1985 and provides a safe and fun way to celebrate this important once in a lifetime occasion. The party is not a school-sponsored event but instead is planned, organized, and funded by our senior parents through registration fees, fundraising, and donations made by local businesses and Grandville community members. Due to the popularity of this event and the importance of its success, we are asking that you make a reservation for your senior at this time. This will allow us to secure a location, plan entertainment, and determine additional funds needed through fundraisers. Budgets for past senior parties have been $40,000 to $50,000. To register for the party, we will be offering several options this year. •

Option #3 Registration fee of $125 between October 16, 2017 and May 1, 2017 (Due to ordering deadlines, registration after May 1st will negate the option of getting the T-shirt and gift.)

Due to a lack of interest in previous years, we will not be offering any individual fundraising options for students this year; however, places like Gordon Food Service sell boxes of candy intended for individual fundraising available for purchase to the public. A great deal of time and effort is involved in putting the “Senior All Night Party” together. It is an enormous task in which many volunteers will be needed to make this event successful. Throughout the planning process, we will be in need of many volunteers in various areas to include: pre-party committee planning, donations, fundraising, decorations, security, etc. We will also need several volunteers for the day and night of the event. Please indicate your interest on the enclosed registration form. If you and/or if you know of a business that would be interested in donating funds, services, etc., please also indicate this on the registration form. We will be holding an informational meeting on Wednesday, September 13, 2017 @ 7:00pm in the Project Room 290. All are welcome! CLASS OF 2018 ALL NIGHT SENIOR PARTY REGISTRATION FORM Planning the “Senior All Night Party” has already begun. As in the past, the party will be held after graduation, on Thursday, May 24, 2018, at a secret location. This event has been a tradition at Grandville High School since 1985. The party is planned by the graduating class parents to provide a safe, fun, and well-chaperoned celebration after graduation. In order to secure a location with a good head count, we need to collect registrations now! The budget in the past for the senior parties have been over $40,000 to $50,000, so we will be combining registration fees, fundraising, and donations in an attempt to reach this goal. We are offering three registration payment options this year; Budgets for past senior parties have been $40,000 to $50,000. Cancellations made by December 31, 2017 will be honored with a full reimbursement. Cancellations made January 1, 2018 through March 30, 2018 will be reimbursed at 50% of fee paid. ROCK WALL WAIVER

A completed release form is required for any participants who wish to use the climbing wall at the Senior All Night Party. If your child will be 18 at the time of the party, he/she may sign the release form himself/herself. If your child will be 17 or younger at the time of the party, a parent or legal guardian must sign the release form in order for the student to use the rock wall. The venue has asked that all waivers be completed prior to the party even for the students who are able to sign the form themselves.

Because of the secrecy of the party, the venue was kind enough to remove their name from the release form. However, having so many blanks in the form does make it confusing and difficult to complete. We have placed arrows next to each spot that needs attention. Please be sure to initial at each of the first 3 arrows. Over half of the early registration forms were missing initials.
