FRIDAY NOTES FROM MISS Z. 3rd Grade Mission Statement The mission of Miss Zukowski’s students is to work as a team, help each other, make friends, and learn. We will make goals and work hard to accomplish them. We will show great citizenship. Next Week In Reading, we will read the story Centerfield Ballhawk In this story, Jose realizes that not every player has to hit homeruns to be good at baseball. We will focus on sequencing story events and writing good summaries. Next week in Writing we will continue working on our Wacky Weather essay that focuses on Students took the math test covering Topics 3 and 4. Students will be allowed to retake tests if necessary. We will begin Topics 5-8 today on Multiplication and Division! Students have been experimenting with loud and soft sounds, as well as, different pitch in sound. I sent home the Science project on Thursday. In this project, students will research an instrument, create a poster or powerpoint, and present it to the class. They must also create an instrument and show how they make loud and soft sounds, and different pitch. This project is due Wednesday, November 23rd. This is the day before Thanksgiving Break so please let me know if your child will be absent so they can present their project ahead of time. Students will be participating in a mock-Market activity to put their economics skills to the test!
