Sonoma State Historic Park To Present Findings on Historic Structure Report’s Findings California State Parks will host a presentation on Wednesday, March 19, 2014 to share highlights of the recently completed Historic Structures Report (HSR) for the Toscano Hotel complex and Servants’ Quarters of Sonoma State Historic Park. The two-hour presentation of the HSR will start at 10:00 a.m. and will be held in the park at the Sonoma Barracks, 36 Spain Street, Sonoma. Historic Structures Reports are important documents for park managers; they help to inform decision-making on matters related to building maintenance, preservation and use. The presentation will cover technical findings related to several of the park’s downtown historic buildings located on Spain Street, across from the city’s iconic Plaza. The report was undertaken as an important research element needed for the development the park’s Facilities Management Plan (FMP) which will be completed this year. Garavaglia Architecture, Inc. of San Francisco produced the HSR under the direction of California State Parks. The public was invited to provide input for the FMP last June 2013. The report and plan are Proposition 84 bond-funded projects. For a copy of the report, please contact Supervising Ranger Vince Anibale at
