Exgratia payment to families of deceased Contributory Provident Fund/ non - pensionable establishment beneficiaries – Revision – ordered. Read the following:

ORDER:

From the Principal Secretary/Chairman and Managing Director/ Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation Limited & Tamil Nadu Electricity Board Limited and Chairman/ Tamil Nadu Transmission Corporation Limited D.O Lr.No.85876/A183/2013-1 Dated.8.01.2014. ---

In the Government order first read above, orders have been issued revising the amount of basic ex-gratia from Rs.150/- to Rs.605/- with effect from 1.11.1997 following the orders issued by Government of India. The Government of India in its Memorandum second read above has now revised the exgratia amount from Rs.605/-to Rs.645/- with effect from 04.06.2013 to the category of Widows and dependent children of the deceased Contributory Provident Fund beneficiary. 2) In pursuance to the above orders of Government of India, the Principal Secretary/Chairman and Managing Director, Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation Limited and Tamil Nadu Electricity Board Limited in the reference third read above, has requested the Government to issue necessary orders revising the exgratia amount to the families of the deceased Contributory Provident Fund / non-pensionable establishment beneficiaries. The Government after careful consideration, has decided to accept the proposal of the Principal Secretary/Chairman & Managing Director, Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation Limited and Tamil Nadu Electricity Board Limited and accordingly order to revise the existing ex-gratia amount of Rs.605/- to Rs.645/- per month with effect from 04.06.2013 to the Widows and dependent children of the deceased Contributory Provident Fund beneficiaries / non-pensionable establishment beneficiaries.

3) Dearness Allowance as may be sanctioned from time to time on the sums of enhancement amount of ex-gratia to pensioners/family pensioners as admissible to them. 4) The arrears of ex-gratia payment shall be payable with effect from 04.06.2013. Lifetime arrears of ex-gratia payment shall also be admissible in respect of Contributory Provident Fund beneficiaries who were alive on 04.06.2013 and died subsequent to that date for the period from 04.06.2013 to the date of death. 5) The Pension Pay Officer, Chennai, The Treasury Officer/SubTreasury Officers concerned are requested to revise the ex-gratia accordingly and pay the arrears accrued to the Widows and dependent children of the deceased Contributory Provident Fund beneficiaries/ nonpensionable establishment beneficiaries with effect from 4.06.2013.
