Program Description: Also known as modern-day slavery, human trafficking is the recruitment, transportation, harboring, or receipt of people for the purposes of slavery, forced labor, and servitude. In this training, participants will learn what precisely human trafficking is and how to identify it. Discussion will include the overlaps between human trafficking and domestic violence, sexual assault and stalking; the scope and diversity of human trafficking in Michigan; the myths surround human trafficking; and survivor and perpetrator case studies.
