BOARD OF DIRECTORS SPECIAL MEETING LYNNVILLE-SULLY COMMUNITY SCHOOL DISTRICT FEBRUARY 10, 2015 The Board of Directors of the Lynnville-Sully Community School District met in special session Tuesday, February 10, 2015 at 7:45 a.m. in the high school library. Board members and officers present: Duane Rozendaal, President; John Terpstra; Tim Dunsbergen; Matt Zylstra; and Karla De Cook, Board Secretary. Absent: Jeremy Schnell and Shane Ehresman, Superintendent. Others Present: Jeff Corbett, Brad Poock, Colleen Taylor, Norene Paulson, Sarah Licht, Kevin Johnson, Jessica Winegar, Brian Lowry and Deb Merrill. President Rozendaal called the meeting to order at 7:43 a.m. Approve/Amend Agenda - Terpstra moved, seconded by Dunsbergen to approve the agenda as printed. Motion carried 4-0. Action Items Receive Lynnville-Sully Certified Staff’s Opening Offer – Jeff Corbett presented the initial proposal from the Lynnville-Sully Certified Staff for the 2015-2016 Comprehensive Working Agreement. The proposal includes a 2.26% insurance increase, $1385 increase on the base, $40 increase on the horizontal lanes, $40 on the vertical step, adding steps 21 and 22 so schedules B, F and G, and an increase on the supplemental schedule for Flags/Rifles to 1.5%. It also includes language change in the sick leave/personal leave area where employees would be allowed to convert increments of 10 sick days to 1 personal day, not to fall below 70 sick leave days. Total package increase $149,833, which is a 5.97% increase. Approve Open Enrollments – Angela Braafhart requested open enrollment out for Ashten Van Maanen to CAM Community School effective immediately. Terpstra moved, seconded by Zylstra to approve the open enrollment of Van Maanen. Motion carried 4-0. Adjournment Terpstra moved, seconded by Dunsbergen to adjourn.
