Registration fees cover salaries for coaches and support staff, referee fees, field rental fees, Colorado Youth Soccer administrative costs and various other club costs. In addition, registration fees for Tier 1 teams include a $3000 budget for tournament registration fees. Registration fees for Tier 2 teams include a $2000 budget for tournament registration fees. Team camp fees and off-season training opportunities for Tier 1 and Tier 2 teams are also included in the registration fees. The Tier 3 fees do not include a tournament budget or team camp fees. The fees do not cover players’ or coaches’ travel expenses to and from tournaments including but not limited to transportation costs, food and lodging. The team must cover such expenses. Official FC Boulder uniforms are required for competitive players – competitive registration fees do not include the uniform cost. If a player drops from a team for any reason, an administrative fee of $150 is debited from the registration fees prior to any refund. A refund of a prorated balance of the registration fee is permitted only when the player is unable to continue participation due to a documented medical condition or if the family moves more than 50 miles from Boulder County. Under CYS rules, once registered, players are bound to their club for the entire seasonal year (from the date of registration through the following July 31), and the club to which a player is registered has the sole discretion of whether to grant a transfer or release to that player. The Club’s decision shall be final. Players will not be allowed to play without payment of the fees, compliance with a submitted payment plan or completion of our scholarship application process.

Finally, please be advised that CSYSA imposes a fee of $500 if a team forfeits a game. This penalty is not included in the fees described above and will be paid by the individual team. Recreational Fees Recreational soccer fees are paid on a per season basis. Beginning fall 2012, every recreational player will need a new FC Boulder uniform. The cost of the uniform is included in the registration fees listed below. Scholarship Information The deadline for competitive soccer scholarship applications (excluding U15-18 Boys) is May 25, 2012. The deadline for recreational soccer scholarship applications is June 27, 2012. FC Boulder does not provide 100% scholarships. Please note that an application fee is associated with all scholarship applications. The application fee will be applied toward the balance owed following distribution of financial assistance.
