1/2015   ENTRY GATE INSTRUCTIONS The front gate may be opened directly at the gate or remotely from your residence. Remote Control Opener Each residence has 2 remote control openers that can be programmed for both the front gate and the residence garage door. Many cars come equipped with a “home” feature that can also be programmed to open both the front gate and the resident’s garage door. Additional remote controls are available for a nominal fee. This is the quickest way to enter Northpoint. Visitor Entrance You can open the gate from your home using your telephone. Visitors can call your home from the front gate by entering your unit number or finding your name in the gate directory. You will receive a phone call. If you have Caller ID you will see “Northpoint Gate.” Answer your phone, identify the caller and press “9” on your keypad. When you press “9” the gate will open. Hang up your phone. If you receive a call from a visitor’s cell phone, please instruct your visitor to use the keypad so you can open the gate. Example: You live in unit 50. Your visitor calls from a cell phone. Instruct your visitor to enter 5 0 on the keypad after your phone call is terminated. You will receive a call from the Northpoint Gate. You just need to press “9” on your keypad to open the gate. After you press “9” hang up your phone. Note 1: Your unit number is listed in the directory. Note 2: Units 1 through 9 are listed as 01, 02, 03, 04, 05, 06, 07, 08, 09 Gate Code There is a residential gate code. This code is for the convenience of residents and as a general rule should not be given to visitors. This code is meant to be used by you to open the gate when you do not have a remote control opener or when a contractor or other service person needs to get into your home when you are not there. It is changed periodically for security purposes FYI: Emergency Vehicle Code Emergency vehicles always have access to Northpoint using a code specifically assigned for fire, police and ambulances.
