ELIGIBILITY CONDITIONS IN GENERAL 1. Minimum eligibility criteria for seeking admission to all the PG courses, in general, shall be a pass in the qualifying examination with 45% (40% for SC/ST/Cat-I candidates) of marks in respective subjects/papers in aggregate or aggregate of all the subjects/papers (excluding Basic/*Common subjects) and other conditions hereinafter prescribed. 2. Admission to various courses, except for those subjects requiring Entrance test, (If required as per norms) is based on the marks obtained in the respective subjects/aggregate marks in the qualifying examination, whichever is applicable. 3. In respect of those subjects where Entrance test is conducted admission shall be made on the basis of a merit list prepared by taking into consideration 50% of marks obtained in the qualifying examination (excluding Basic/*Common subjects) and 50% of marks obtained in the Entrance test. 4. The candidates who have appeared for the final examination and expecting results can also apply. But, soon after the declaration of the results they have to submit the marks sheets obtained from the internet, before counseling date. 5. CANDIDATE SHALL APPEAR FOR ENTRANCE TEST FOR DIFFERENT SUBJECTS SEPARATELY: Entrance test will be conducted using OMR Sheets wherein students have to mark the correct answers using black ink ball point pen. The candidates should produce Identity Cards issued by the institution in which candidates have studied previously. Candidates seeking admission at various Post-Graduate Centers/Colleges will have to take Entrance Test (wherever applicable) at Belagavi campus only. No intimation will be sent in respect of Entrance Test individually. However conduct or non conduct of entrance test will be displayed on the University Website. In case entrance test is conducted, only those student who submit the requisite fees (Rs. 400 GM/OBC & Rs. 200 for SC/ST/Cat-I through DD in favour of Finance Office Rani Channamma University Belagavi) will be allowed to appear for the Entrance Test. Candidates are requested to contact respective Chairmen /Co-ordinators of the Departments for necessary information regarding changes if any in the schedule of Entrance test.
