information, assignments, materials, and resources. q Close the gap between when students submit work and when they get feedback. q Make it easier for students, parents, and teachers to be on the same page. q Deliver the best content and resources to students. q Help students be more organized, productive, and able to get the help they need when they need it.
What are the risks? q Technology is expensive and can be misused. q Bandwidth demands are huge and require upgrades. q Teachers and students have a learning curve. q Parents have worries about liability and safety. q People don’t always agree about the technologies
Districts adopt. q Change can be slow. We may not be able to measure results as fast as we would like.
What are the rewards? q Students have the tools they need to succeed in a 21st
century economy and marketplace. q All SUHSD families have immediate and daily access to their children’s school. q Students and teachers have the data they need recognize and address bumps in the academic road before they become roadblocks. q The school to home connection is more seamless. q Communication is customized to parents’ preferences.
