5 June 2017 Dear Parents, I am writing to let you know that we have been informed of an electricity outage to our site on Wednesday 7th June, potentially from 8.00am-2.30pm. As such, we will have no lighting, no heating and no internet access or use of technological devices which rely on electricity and connection to our WiFi network. As well, the main entrance gate will need to be manually locked and opened. The Canteen will be remain opened but only for cold food, no hot lunch orders will be available. Whilst the school will remain open, learning tasks for the day will be impacted and will need to be modified to cater for the inability to access components of our Google platform. As well, our lines of communication will be severely impacted with no email or phone lines. We have arranged for our main phone line to be diverted to the school's mobile phone for emergency purposes. I understand that some parents may feel the need to keep their child at home and make alternative arrangements for their supervision, however be assured that classes will be conducted and our usual supervision practices will be implemented.
