1. Account, Ownership, Purchases & Characters 1.1. Account, Account Ownership 1. An account name is permanent and cannot be changed, it is used in the in-game and UCP authentication processes. Any account name change request will be rejected. 2. The creator of an account is considered the only legitimate owner, therefore ownership transfers are not officially recognized. 3. In a situation, where more than one person is sharing an account or an IP address, all parties are held responsible that their account or IP address are not used to break the server rules. 4. It is prohibited to sell or buy in-game accounts, such accounts are at risk of being permanently banned. Eclipse is not to be held responsible for any losses in case of a permanent ban or possible scam.

1.2. Purchases, Credits 1. All purchases are permanent and non-refundable. If there had been a mistake or any other special circumstances, do not hesitate and contact us immediately. 2. All purchases are tied to your in-game Eclipse account, therefore credits and items cannot be transferred to another account. 3. It is prohibited to exchange credits or credit purchased items into in-game money or property. In a situation where this rule is broken, all exchanged goods will be seized and no losses will be refunded. 4. In a situation, where a buyer is banned for violating the server rules, any purchases made by the buyer will not be refunded, remember that buyers are held responsible for their actions, just as any other player.

1.3. Characters, Character Property 1. Character names may only contain letters from the Latin alphabet and must be grammatically correct. It is allowed to use national names. Character names must be realistic and ressemble real world names. 2. It is forbidden to use names of famous people. This includes celebrities, politicians, famous criminals. Character names cannot be offensive. 3. Players are not allowed to create new characters with the intent to transfer the starter money over to another character. All involved parties breaking this rule will be banned and all money will be revoked. 4. It is prohibited to sell in-game money or property for credits, credit purchased items or services and real world currency. In a situation where this rule is broken, all exchanged goods will be seized, the involved parties will be banned and no losses will be refunded.

2. Game Modifications, Cheating, Macroing & Bug Exploiting 2.1. Game Modifications, Cheating, Macroing 1. It is strictly prohibited to use any game modifications and enhancements that can give a player an unfair advantage, such as increased speed, health regeneration, teleportation and similar hacks. A player caught cheating will be permanently banned without any prior warning. 2. In addition to the first point, it is restricted to have a trainer or a hacking tool installed that can be activated or deactivated on demand while playing on the server. Breaking this rule is equivalent to actively cheating and will be punished accordingly. 3. Players are allowed to use visual enhancements or other game modifications that do not give the user an advantage which can be classed as cheating or unfair. Binding keys to server commands or text messages for faster and more convenient access is permitted. 4. Macroing is the act of using third-party software or hardware enhancements that enable the player to perform automated actions. Macroing to perform activities for a financial benefit or to circumvent the AFK script is a bannable offence. All property and experience gained through macroing will be revoked.

2.2. Exploiting Server & Client Bugs 1. Exploiting server or multiplayer client bugs is prohibited. If a bug is exploited for a financial benefit or for cheating purposes, the abuser will be banned. In addition to the ban, if a player is caught abusing a bug for a financial benefit, everything he had gained (or much more) will be revoked. 2. All server bugs should be reported on the forums in the appropriate section. DO NOT report bugs to administrators or developers through personal messages. Reporting a bug on the forums makes the report seen by the whole team and the lead developer, who will inform the responsible developers.

3. Communication, Offensive Language & Threats 3.1. English & Non-English Languages, Advertising, Cyber Threats, Spamming 1. English is the main language of the server, therefore every player must be able to communicate in English. All communication between players and administrators must be done in English. Refusing to communicate with other players in English will have you banned. 2. Players are allowed to speak to each other in a non-English language through personal messages or through faction chat if the faction policy permits it. 3. Any kind of advertising of other GTA V communities or cyber threats are forbidden on all Eclipse servers and channels. Malicious advertisements or cyber threats aimed at hurting Eclipse will result in a permanent ban. 4. Do not spam identical or meaningless messages multiple times, do not spam server commands multiple times do not spam game unrelated irritating sounds using voice-chat.

3.2. Offensive Language, Death Threats, Racism, Global Announcements 1. In-character offensive language, threats and racism are allowed, however insulting another character gives them a roleplay reason to take hostile action against your character. 2. Any kind of out-of-character offensive language, threats or racism is prohibited. You cannot make death threats to live people, death threats aimed at live people will result in much harsher punishments. 3. Any kind of offensive language, that may offend a player or a group of players, is forbidden in global server announcements. This rule is valid for both in-character and out-of-character announcements. 4. An administrator has the right to request that a player stops offending another player’s character, if the administrator thinks that the in-character exception for offensive language is being abused.

4. Administration, Reports & Appeals 4.1. Administration, Reports, Appeals 1. Administrators can request players to halt all actions in a roleplay situation if the server rules had been or are being broken. Those who refuse to listen to an administrator while the scene is being investigated can be kicked or jailed. 2. If a player thinks that an administrator is abusing his powers, the player may submit a player report on the forums, he should provide all necessary information and evidence to support the report. In such a scenario, a player should never disobey an administrator and should never escalate the situation while in-game. 3. Players can report present rule breakers in-game with the /report command, however past situations should be reported on the forums by providing all necessary information and evidence to support the report. 4. If a player believes, that his punishment is unfair, he may submit an appeal and his explanation of the events that lead to the punishment on the forums.

5. Crime, Assassinations, Hostage Situations & Criminal Factions 5.1. Robberies, Scamming 1. Players are allowed to rob other players by either roleplaying it or by forcing them to raise their hands and using the /mug command. There is no limit on how much money or items you can take from a single robbery. A criminal is allowed to demand their victim to hand over vehicle keys. 2. Players cannot force their victims to withdraw money from an ATM, unless the victim permits it through an out-of-character channel. Under no circumstances can a criminal force his victim to sell his property, such as, houses, vehicles or businesses. 3. A criminal is permitted to scam his victims of up to $15.000 in cash or the same value in items. Scamming must be done in-game by roleplaying it. Scamming people through out-of-character channels is not allowed, this includes scamming someone by telling them the incorrect server command for personal gain.

5.2. Assassinations, Hostage Situations 1. A player may hire an assassin to kill another player or a group of players, but only if the assassination initiator has a valid in-character reason to kill these players themselves. A player may not hire an assassin to hunt and kill random players of a specific faction. The contract must be placed in-character by roleplaying it. 2. Both the initiator and the assassin, need to confirm the contract though an in-game out-of-character chat channel (this can be a message written in /o or /pm confirming the existence of the contract), the assassin must take a screenshot of that confirmation, which will act as proof that the killing of other players had not been deathmatching. 3. After the victim is killed, the assassin must inform the victim through an out-of-character channel about the contract. An administrator may ask the assassin for proof to confirm the existence of a contract to ensure that other roleplay rules had been followed. 4. At least five criminals are required to start a major hostage situation. This involves situations where players are taken hostage, moved significantly to a new location, and possibly a ransom demand for their release or safety. 5. A maximum of one attempt at starting such a scenario is permitted in a 1 week period, unless an administrator approves a request to start a hostage situation while on cooldown. To start a hostage situation, criminals are required to have a realistically sufficient in-character reason.

5.3. Criminal Factions, Turf Wars 1. A player cannot infiltrate and use his faction permissions to ruin the faction, because in this situation faction permissions are considered out-of-character. A player cannot harm the faction by kicking everyone out or by drastically changing the settings or permissions. This rule does not apply to the script defined owner. 2. A player cannot use his treasury management permissions to steal more money than defined by the scamming rule. After stealing from a faction treasury, the thief cannot repeat it for 24 real world hours. 3. Faction members cannot deathmatch players of an enemy faction. This has to be roleplayed and properly escalated to a point where starting a fight becomes reasonable. Faction members cannot kill other players for entering their turf, but they can make an in-character demand for them to leave the turf. 4. A criminal faction cannot declare war on another faction without having a valid roleplay reason. Capturing a turf is not considered a valid reason to start a war. If your faction does not have a valid reason to go to war, you can contact the leaders of the other faction and send them an ultimatum with your demands. 5. Faction members are allowed to kill their enemies on sight ONLY IF the targeted enemies are in the process of capturing a friendly owned turf, this means that enemy players must be securing the CAPTURE POINTS. While a turf is being captured, the new life rule still applies and players cannot return to the fight until the NLR timer has expired.

5.4. No Crime Zones 1.

No crime zones are areas on the map which are against the rules to initiate crimes at even with an incharacter reason to do so. This means that while in these areas, you must obey the law and not commit obvious crimes as it would be unrealistic to commit crimes here due to heavy security / surveillance

presence. Exceptions to this rule can be previously scheduled and discussed with Senior Administrator or Head Administrator as a planned server event. 2.

No Crime Zones Include:  The block surrounding and the interior of the Los Santos Police Department  The block surrounding and the interior of Los Santos Medical Center  The block surrounding and the interior of the Los Santos Bank  The interior of the Tequil La La and The Yellow Inn poker rooms  The Airport drop off (New character spawn)  The parking lot of the DMV

6. Roleplay Rules 6.1. Deathmatch, Vehicle Deathmatch, Revenge Killing, Kill On Sight 1. Deathmatch is the act of killing or hurting another player or damaging their property intentionally without having a valid in-character reason to do that. Breaking this rule repeatedly will end in a permanent ban. 2. Examples, when you cannot attack another player: 2.1. 2.2. 2.3. 2.4. 2.5.

Because they are severely injured and have extremely low health; Without giving them enough time to respond to your demands; For minor reasons, such as, an accidental traffic incident; Because you are roleplaying a murderer or terrorist; You cannot kill players who have complied with your demands;

3. Examples, when you can attack another player: 3.1. 3.2. 3.3. 3.4.

If they attempt to hurt you or damage your property intentionally; If they report you to the police for committing a crime; If they refuse to comply with your demands after being given a reasonable amount of warnings; If they try to harm you, for example, they attempt to place you under arrest;

4. You cannot kill another player, because that player had killed you in the past. The new life rule prevents you from doing that. This is called revenge killing and is classed as deathmatch. 5. You are allowed to attack another player if they try to hurt you or damage your property intentionally, if they ignore your threats and attempt to resist or if they try to take hostile action against you. 6. You are allowed to kill another player on sight, if that player had tried to kill you in the past 30 minutes and if NLR has not been triggered. After 30 minutes have passed, you must engage that player in roleplay and make your demands, if the player resists you can kill them. 7. Vehicle deathmatch is the act of killing or hurting another player or damaging their property intentionally by using a vehicle without having a valid in-character reason to do that. Breaking this rule repeatedly will end in a permanent ban. 8. A vehicle cannot be used as a weapon to repeatedly hit your opponent to keep them knocked onto the ground, it is also prohibited to park your vehicle on another player to kill them. You will not be punished for knocking down your opponent once, but abusing this GTA V mechanic will be classed as fail roleplay and will have you punished accordingly.

6.2. New Life Rule 1. The new life rule is triggered once you die and respawn at the hospital, the cause of death is irrelevant. Getting yourself injured is not considered as dying, therefore once you get revived by a medic the new life rule is not triggered. 2. Once a player dies, they cannot come back to the area of their death for 15 minutes and they cannot take hostile action against the party responsible for their death for 30 minutes, they also lose every roleplay reason to take hostile action against the party responsible for their death. 3. The new life rule does not affect your past criminal charges and police warrants, you will remain wanted for your crimes and will be arrested when caught, although this rule prevents new charges from being placed.

6.3. Combat & Roleplay Logging 1. Players are not allowed to disconnect from a roleplay or combat situation that could have negative incharacter consequences. If your game crashes, you must reconnect to the server and inform the parties involved with you before the crash and ask them if they want to continue roleplaying the scenario. 2. If a player gets kicked from the server while in a combat or a roleplay situation, such as, a police pursuit, the administrator who had kicked the player must make sure, that the player can continue roleplaying the situation with the same advantages as he had prior to the kick.

6.4. Metagaming, Powergaming 1. Metagaming is the act of mixing in-character and out-of-character information. Out-of-character information is not known by your in-game character. For example, your character cannot see player nametags, therefore while roleplaying you must pretend that you do not know the names of the strangers around you. 2. [ In-character ] Talking in voice-chat or regular text chat, or using the /shout (/s), /radio (/r) commands is considered as in-character chat. The same rule applies to all global announcements. In this type of chat, you are not allowed to use abbreviations or smiley faces, you must use grammatically correct spelling, however we do not enforce punctuation or capitalization. 3. [ Out-of-character ] To speak out-of-character, you must use the /ooc (/o, /b) command. Out-of-character chat is always enclosed in brackets, like in the following example (( text )). In this type of chat you may use smiley faces and grammatically correct spelling is not that important, but is much appreciated. 4. Metagaming to gain an in-game advantage, for example, requesting help from your allies through out-ofcharacter channels, will result in more severe punishments, than accidental metagaming, that serves no benefit to the player, such as, calling a stranger by his character name. 5. After you die, you cannot talk about your death through in-character channels. If you kill a person, you cannot tell them, that you have killed them before through in-character channels. This is considered metagaming. 6. Roleplaying something unrealistically ridiculous or forcing roleplay actions on other players by using the /me command is not allowed and is classed as powergaming. Forceful server commands, such as, /cuff or /mug are not considered as powergaming. 7. Roleplaying something that is not covered by the server script, to put a player in a disadvantage is considered powergaming, unless such roleplay is accepted by both parties. For example, a player cannot

roleplay a medic to forcefully take a drug test and then determine that it was positive to get another player in trouble.

6.5. Sexual Roleplay 1. Sexual roleplay is only allowed if all involved parties, and those who can see or hear such roleplay, have agreed to it through out-of-character means of communication, for example, /ooc (/o, /b) or /pm commands.

6.6. Fail Roleplay 1. Actions, that are unrealistic or hurt the roleplay experience of other players are considered as fail roleplay, however not all actions that may seem unrealistic are punishable. A list of punishable fail roleplay actions: 1.1. Stealing a vehicle by hijacking the driver without engaging in any roleplay, if there are no current circumstances to justify it (for example, other players are trying to hurt, capture or kill you); 1.2. Repeatedly jumping around and into people (always), or repeatedly jumping onto and off vehicles (unless you have a reason, for example, you try to avoid getting run over by another vehicle); 1.3. Entering and exiting an ambulance to heal yourself without roleplaying with a medic, however you are allowed to do that, if there are no medics nearby; 1.4. Failing to respond to /me and /do interactions of other players; 1.5. Destroying every street object with your vehicle without having any reason; 1.6. Repeatedly knocking down your opponent with a vehicle or parking on top of them to kill their character (you are only allowed to knock your opponent with a vehicle once); 1.7. Spamming a vehicle’s horn without having an in-game or roleplay reason; 1.8. Performing unrealistic stunt jumps, that in the real world would result in your immediate death;

6.7. Fear Roleplay 1. Fear roleplay is the concept of roleplaying fear for your character’s life in situations where your attacker is able to quickly end your life at will. This can come in a form of having a weapon aimed at your character’s head at close range, where reaching for your own weapon would result in you being killed instantly, or where your life is in direct danger and any attempt to resist would result in your immediate death. 2. Examples, where your character’s life is in direct danger: 2.1. You are on foot or cornered in a building when a firearm is aimed at you at close range; 2.2. You have committed violent crimes and are surrounded by police officers, who are aiming their weapons at you, prepared to shoot to kill if necessary; 2.3. Your life is still considered to be in direct danger if an attacker lowers their weapon, because they are typing a roleplay response; 3. Examples, where your character’s life is not in direct danger:

3.1. An attacker aims their firearm at you, while you are in a vehicle. This situation would allow you to duck your head behind the wheel and either flee, or attempt to run the attacker over with your vehicle; 3.2. An attacker, who had their firearm aimed at you, leaves close range or aims their weapon in the opposite direction or is distracted and is not observing your actions; 4. Exceptions, where your character’s life is in direct danger, but you may resist: 4.1. You had been holding a firearm in your hand, prior to your attacker aiming a weapon at you; 5. As a victim, whose life is in direct danger: 5.1. You must display reasonable value for your life and comply with the demands of your attacker; 5.2. You cannot call 911, call your friends or allies to aid you, because that would be failure to comply; 6. As an attacker, who is endangering the life of another person: 6.1. You cannot brutally wound or kill your victim if they are complying with your demands; 6.2. The victim gains a valid roleplay reason to take hostile action against you, which they can exercise once their life is not in any direct danger;

6.8. Out-Of-Character & In-Character Evidence 1. Out-of-character evidence (video recordings, screenshots) can be used as in-character evidence, if the footage of a crime or other event, had been captured by a player, whose character can be seen using the /record command to hold a phone in their hand.
