- : PRACTICAL NO. : 04 :  AIM: DRAW A CONTROL LOOP FOR A SAFETY INSTRUMENTED SYSTEMS OPERATED IN A TEXTILE PROCESS. - Control loop is one segment of a process control system through which any process variable can be control. - There is two type of control system : 1. Open loop control system, &

2. Close loop control system.

- An open-loop control process requires human intervention, whereas a closed-loop system is entirely automated. - An open loop controller, also called a non-feedback controller, is a type of controller that computes its input into a system using only the current state . - A characteristic of the open-loop controller is that I does not use feedback to determine if its output has achieved the desire goal of the input. This means that the system does not observe the output of the processes that it is controlling. - A close-loop system uses the feedback to determine if its output has achieved the desire goal of the input. - A close-loop controller seeks to maintain the measured process variable [PV] at set point [SP] in spite of unmeasured disturbances [D]. The major components of a control system include a sensor, a controller and a final control element.  There is following type of CONTROL LOOP found in following type of PROCESS OF TEXTILE PROCESS: -> SPINNING / WEAVING / DYEING/ PRINTING/ FNISHING PROCESS :-
