Fernley High School SUMMER SCHOOL 2017 June 5, 2017 – June 29, 2017 Dear Parent: Fernley High School will be sponsoring a Summer School Program, scheduled for June 5, 2017 to June 30, 2017, for students who have failed at least one course in Math, English, Social Studies, Science or Health. Our school is privileged to be able to provide this program, and we encourage you to take advantage of this opportunity. The summer school program will be a computer based curriculum and will require mandatory attendance to receive credit. This program is a self-paced program that allows students the opportunity to complete their courses before the end of the session. Daily attendance is mandatory. Students exceeding 2 absences will be withdrawn from the program, forfeiting fees and course credit will not be awarded. Students who finish early will be excused from attendance upon completion of all enrolled courses. Students who do not complete the coursework by Thursday, June 29, 2017, will not receive credit for the course and all progress will be deleted. Enclosed is a registration form for your convenience. Properly signed registration forms, must be returned to the Fernley High School Counselor’s office by Friday, May 26th. The cost to participate in summer school is $75.00. Scholarships are available to students who qualify for the Free and Reduced Lunch Program. No students will be permitted to register after May 31st. Please register early to ensure a position in class. District transportation will not be provided. Class Schedule: Monday – Thursday

You will be notified by Fernley High School via email of your child’s enrollment in the program. If sufficient enrollment is not met, the program will be cancelled and your money returned. Students who are dismissed for misbehavior or attendance problems will not receive a tuition refund. Regular communication with summer school teachers is both encouraged and appreciated.
