SCHOOL PROFILE: Corpus Christi Students talk to Chris Hadfield in Space Moving the inquiry conversation to Space Governor General of Canada hosted an uplink in January to the International Space Station and Corpus students were able to ask questions ‘live’ to Commander Chris Hadfield.

Communication tools: • Web site redesigned this year http://www.ottawacspa.ca/ • Social media – @OttawaCSPA • PIC developing a multiyear communication strategy Parent events this year: • Parenting Now – Life Literacy • Director’s Forum – The World Needs Your Kid • Math Workshops • safeTALK (suicide awareness) training for parents • Faith.Media.Culture The Ministry of Education provides funding for school and regional initiatives. CSPA and PIC are involved in ensuring that the message gets out that there is funding for parent involvement activities. This school year $104,000 was allotted. Chairperson Philpott thanked the Board for its continued role as a partner in all CSPA and PIC activities and said, “What CSPA does, we do together.” For more information on the CSPA and PIC Year End Report, view pages 1321 of the June 11, 2013 Board Agenda.
