Meadow Farms Fundraiser!

Runs now through October 27th Our Meadow Farms Fundraiser launches Thursday, October 13th. The brochure has many useful items for the home at reasonable prices! Choose from holiday gifts, sweet treats, snacks, magazines and more!. We are sure you can find at least one item to purchase for yourself or as a gift! Imagine how the school would profit if every family purchased at least one item. All profit from fund raisers are spent on the children
of PS2! Be sure to check out the amazing prize program! Please send orders in by Friday, October 27th. Cash, check or money orders made payable to PS2Q PTA.

Administrator’s Message October is not only bringing cooler weather, it also bring us wonderful events here at P.S. 2. First of all, there are a handful of holiday observances this month. Please note there will be no school for students Monday, October 10th for Columbus Day, and Wednesday, October 12th for Yom Kippur. The PTA will be hosting the pumpkin patch on Friday October 21st, and the following day will be our NY Cares event. Organized by our parent coordinator, Karen Caroccio, adults in the community are being asked to volunteer their time Saturday, October 22nd during the hours of 9:30 am to 2:00 pm for painting, organizing, and planting. Our first family fun activity is taking place on Tuesday, October 25th from 2:30-3:30. Please join your child and their class-
What’s for Lunch? Wondering what is being served for lunch today? Visit schoolfoodnyc.org for access to breakfast and lunch menus, as well as a link to access the school lunch application. Remember, all students can eat breakfast daily for free (from 7:30 am—7:55 am). Students not eligible for free or reduced price lunch pay $1.75.
room teacher in an exciting game of BINGO! On Friday, October 28th the PTA will be hosting Halloween dances for our students. More information will be coming your way shortly from our amazing PTA! Last, but certainly not least, our annual Halloween Parade will take place on the morning of Halloween, Monday, October 31st at 8:30 am for grades K2. Please note, we will continue outdoor lineup and recess, as long as the weather cooperates, so please make sure your child is dressed appropriately. ) for important events, handouts, and grade level information!
Family Fun Day Join your child and their class for our first Family Fun Day! Tuesday, October 25 2:30-3:30
Halloween Parade Our annual Halloween Parade will take place Monday, October 31 at 8:30 AM. Only students in grades K through 2 may dress in costume to walk in the parade. Students in grades K-2 will march around the school, showing off their costumes. Parents are welcome to come watch! Please make sure costumes are appropriate for school. No masks may be worn, and weapons must be left at home. Be sure your child can open and close any snaps or ties on the costume to allow for using the bathroom or changing.
