NORTH SUBURBAN TENNIS TOURNAMENTS - 2014 **PLEASE READ ALL THE TOURNAMENT INFORMATION** Players and parents should read carefully the enclosed information to become informed about this summer's tournament format. Please make every effort to register as early as possible and prepay by mail (send in at least three days before deadline). This allows the director to have the tournament start on time and to have the trophies at the tournament site. Again, this year there will be savings for players who prepay. Please read carefully the information relating to cost. Also, please email the tournament director when you mail the registration. $ $ $ $ $ $ $ $ $ $ $ $ $ $ $ $ $ $ $ $ $ $ $ $ $ $ $ $ $ $ $ $ $ $ $ $ $ The cost for each PREPAID tournament registration is $8.00 per person, per $ $ event, plus one can of new Wilson or Penn tennis balls. A prepaid player who $ $ enters both singles and doubles will need only one can of new tennis balls. $ Players who phone in their registration and who pay their fee at the tournament $ site will have to pay $10.00 per event and also have one can of new balls for $ each event. This year all tournaments will have consolation for 1st round losers. Each player will be guaranteed 2 matches per event entered. To be eligible a player cannot have graduated from high school. Awards will be made according to the size of the tournament draw. The number of awards will be posted at the start of each tournament. Generally, awards will be made to the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and consolation winners. Tournament directors need to know if a player is entering singles and doubles. Make sure this information is noted on the entry form. PLAYERS ARE EXPECTED TO USE GOOD SPORTSMANSHIP IN TOURNAMENT MATCHES Entry notes: 1. Players must expect that tournaments may last more than 1 day. Rain delays could force the tournament into Thursday or Friday. 2. Attempts will be made to limit a player to 4 matches in one day. 3. Match format will be dependent on size of draw and weather constraints. 4. In cases where a tournament draw must be limited, tournament directors reserve the right to give priority to players from those schools sponsoring tournaments. 5. On the mail-in form note whether you will be playing singles and/or doubles. 6. Please email the tournament director when you mail your registration form. The tournament director can contact players via email for tournament updates.
