I am a high achiever and tend to like complex subjects, but I had a very difficult time following this text. More importantly, there were very little real-world applications offered. The applications that were offered at the end of most chapters were vague or commonsense. This text has not enlightened my understanding of how to motivate students better. I feel as if I know more about how to apply these concepts in the classroom than what is offered in the text. I would not recommend this textbook for study.1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. ... very difficult to read as it discusses motivation in great detail. I recommend the Kindle version because of the pinch and zoom. The book does have excellent application recommendations. I recommend you read the applications.1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. GoodBy vkat1331Good overview of motivation in education.
