Each geocache held a survival challenge students needed to complete, these challenges included: building shelter, signaling, and purifying water. When they’re not testing their survival skills, SDHS students participate in our weekly GOALS Leadership workshop. This past week focused on communication, teamwork, and following instructions. Students had fun and got creative as they completed team building challenges!

COLLEGE TRIPS Who wants to go to college?! SDHS has been taking students on several college trips planned to local and LA colleges & universities throughout March, April, and May. The first trip had students visiting SDSU & Cal State San Marcos. Our next trip was to LA, where students got campus tours at CSU Fullerton, CSULA, and UCLA. Our students loved getting a sneak peek at college classrooms, student centers, and dormitories. They had lots of questions about popular majors, financial aid, and student life. Our next trip is March 24th and students will be visiting SDSU & Cal State San Marcos again. These trips are free and students must register with their school counselor in order to attend. Register now—spots are filling up!
