Philadelphians is currently struggling with the painful and at-timesdebilitating symptoms of depression. Yet over 70% of them cannot access the care they desperately want and need. Untreated depression (and suicide) is devastating individuals, their families, and our communities.
I walk out of these meetings so energized and uplifted, and it carries me through the week”
WE’RE OFFERING NEW SUPPORT GROUPS! In Center City and West Philadelphia, two new weekly LiveWell Depression Support Groups will be up and running by May. As always, these groups are FREE and easy to access (no insurance/referrals required and walk-ins welcome). WE’RE BEING STUDIED BY LEADERS IN THE FIELD! A mental health epidemiologist at NYU’s Dept. of Global Public Health has chosen the curriculum-based LiveWell Program for a research study. We’re hoping positive outcomes of this pilot study will further evidence the positive impact LiveWell is having on people’s lives.
