A: JumpRope is our Proficiency Based Learning (PBL) student information system. This web portal serves the same purposes as your old friend Infinite Campus, but delivers the information in way that best fits the PBL assessment model. (i.e. Scoring competencies on a scale of 1 to 4 tailored to our school’s specific needs customization is the key!) Step 1) Signing In W here Do I Start? Q: H old on there are two types of assessments listed. What’s the difference between them? A: Remember summative assessments hold the true weight within the PBL model! (i.e. think projects, labs, papers or tests of varying weights Weight 1.0 ) Many lessons build toward these larger assessments. Formative assessments serve as valuable feedback for both students and teachers. These do not directly impact the academic mastery score BUT are weighed heavily in both Habits of Work scores and the preparation process for summative assessments. Step 3) Bells and Whistles W hat Else Can Help Me Track Student Progress? And there you have it! Please don’t hesitate to ask our team about JumpRope, the PBL model, or what we can do to help. This new portal might take some getting used to, but accessing this information correctly is well worth your time and effort! Thanks for reading now get to it!
