KUKL/WW/TP/02: Construction of Wastewater Treatment Plants at Sallaghari, Kodku and Dhobighat (Package 2) Extended to 31 January 2016, 12:00 Noon, Nepal Standard Time (NST)
1. The Government of Nepal has received a loan from Asian Development Bank (ADB) towards the cost of Kathmandu Valley Wastewater Management Project. Part of this financing will be used for payments under the Contract named above. Bidding is open to bidders from eligible source countries of the ADB. 2. The Project Implementation Directorate, Kathmandu Upatyaka Khanepani Limited (“the Employer”) invites sealed bids from eligible bidders, based on post-qualification criteria, for the construction and completion of the Works as described below. The works mainly comprise of Design build wastewater treatment plants at three locations, Dhobighat (37 MLD capacity), Kodku (17.5 MLD capacity) and Sallaghari (14.2 MLD capacity) with five years Operation & Maintenance. 3. The capital expenditure of above stated work will be financed under ADB Loan and Operation & Maintenance expenditure of this work will be financed by Government of Nepal/KVWSMB. 4. International Competitive Bidding will be conducted in accordance with ADB’s Single Stage-Two Envelope Bidding procedure and is open to all Bidders from eligible countries as described in the Bidding Document. 5. Bidding is open to eligible bidders who fulfill qualification requirements given in Section 3 of the bidding document, partly stated below:
Minimum average annual turnover of US$ 47.2 million calculated as total certified payments received for contracts in progress or completed within the last three years. Participation in at least one contract of Design & Build WWTP of at least 55 MLD capacity within the last 10 years that has been successfully or substantially completed and that is similar to the proposed works and the value of the Bidders participation exceeds US$ 47 million and experience of Operation and Maintenance of Mechanized WWTP of at least 55 MLD capacity within the last 10 years.

7. To purchase the Bidding Documents in English, eligible bidders should on or before bid submission date:
Write to address above requesting the bidding document for KUKL/WW/TP/02: Construction of Wastewater Treatment Plants at Sallaghari, Kodku and Dhobighat (Package 2) and deposit a non-refundable fee of NRs 10,000.00 or US $ 100.00 in the bank account mentioned below; or,
Request for delivery by sending a written application to the Project Director at the address indicated above. The application must be supported by payment of NRs. 25,000.00 deposited in the following bank for domestic delivery or US $ 300.00 for overseas delivery by International Bank Transfer to the following account. An electronic copy of the bidding documents will also be provided on CD to all purchasers of the bidding documents. In the event of any discrepancy between hard copy of bidding document and soft copy of bidding document, the hard copy shall govern. Bidders shall use the purchased hard copy of the bidding documents furnished to them, for purposes of bid submission.
8. Site visit will be at held at 11.00 NST on 5 November 2015 followed by pre-bid meeting at 15.00 PM (NST) on same day at PID Office at Anamnagar, Kathmandu.

Deliver your bid:
To the address above On or before the deadline: 31 January 2016; 12:00 Hrs. (NST). In case the final bid submission day is a public holiday, the final bid submission date shall be next working day. Together with a Bid Security as described in the Bidding Document.
Bids will be opened immediately after the bid submission deadline in the presence of bidders’ representatives who choose to attend. 10. The KUKL/Project Implementation Directorate will not be responsible for any costs or expenses incurred by bidders in connection with the preparation or delivery of Bids. 11. When comparing Bids, ADB's Domestic Preference Scheme will be applied in accordance with the provisions stipulated in the Bidding Document.
