Indoor Soccer Rules All OSA indoor soccer rules apply Time: 2X 25mins half, quarter-‐ finals, semi-‐ finals and finals (2X35mins) Exceptions: Number of Players and Eligibility: 1. A maximum of seven players are allowed on the field at one time, including a minimum of two players of the opposite gender for Coed league. A team only fielding one player of the opposite gender will only be allowed to play with a maximum of six players on the field at that time. 2. Teams can only have of maximum of 3 club players per team 3. Proof of enrolment must be shown at the first scheduled game. Each student must either provide their student card with the current bus pass sticker, or must bring in their school schedule for that academic year. This will only need to be provided at the first game. 4. Student cards must be present at the beginning of each game for the duration of the season. Conveners will collect student cards at the beginning of each game. 5. Roster Sheets: Each team captain is responsible to have their teammates complete the roster sheet before the start of the first game. Each player on the roster form must show proof of enrolment, as well as their student card to the convener. 6. Teams have until 1st game of second semester to add players to their team. Teams may not add players to their roster after this time. Any teams fielding players who are not on the roster or who have not signed the game sheet will lose that game. 7. Players can ONLY play for 1 team Game Rules: 8. In the event of a pass back to the keeper, he/ she may handle the ball 9. Absolutely NO SLIDE TACKLING will be aloud. A slide tackle is constituted as any challenge on a player in possession of the ball where at least one knee is touching the ground. Any infraction of this sort may result in a yellow or a red card, referee’s call.

10. Any team forfeiting two games will be removed from the league with no reimbursement of registration fees. Discretion is given to the convener, allowing the team to continue in the league if the team can provide legitimate reasoning for forfeiting the game. 11. Teams have 10 minutes after game start time to field a team or else the team will forfeit. 12. Proper footwear must be worn. Metal cleats are not permitted, and it is MANDATORY that all players wear shin guards in order to participate in the game. 13. In game rules • All free kicks are INDIRECT (including kick ins) • All players must ask for yards for free kicks (5 yards) • For all kick-‐ ins, free kicks and goal kicks, ball MUST be stopped • Free kicks and penalty kicks MUST wait for the whistle Fouls & Misconduct: 14. Yellow card= team plays one man short for 2 minutes Red card= ejection from the game and the team plays one man short for the remainder of the game. Any player receiving a red card will be suspended from the following game. Any player receiving two red cards during league play will be suspended from the league at the discression of the convener and Campus Recreation Coordinator. A serious foul may result in immediate expulsion from the league at the discretion of the convener. 15. Swearing, inappropriate conduct, derogatory comments etc. towards players or referees will not be tolerated and will result in an ejection from the game and/ or potential suspension from the league. 16. The referee’s decision is final. However if players would like to appeal a suspension they may contact the Campus Recreation Coordinator to arrange the appeal process. Playoffs: 17. Should two or more teams be tied in the standing prior to playoffs, advantage will be determined by team with the most wins first, record against each other second, goals for and against third, and a coin toss fourth. 18. Play-‐ offs only; if a shoot-‐ out is needed there are three shooters and one MUST be of the opposite gender.
