ABOUT UAE TAMIL SANGAM UAE TAMIL SANGAM was formed by Mr. Ramesh Viswanathan (Founder and President UAE Tamil Sangam) in March 2008 to contribute assistance to the needy people, Orphanages, Old age homes in Tamil Nadu and bachelors in UAE. The Committee was formed by the President in the year October 2008 and was UTS was inaugurated on 07th November 2008. FUN DAY WITH AL NOOR (SPECIAL NEEDS) CHILDREN UTS had arranged to take part in the Fun day arranged by Al Noor – school for special needs children. UTS members had volunteered to spend a day with these Gods own children and UTS were appreciated for the volunteer work done and certificates were distributed by Al Noor.

SHORT MOVIE (UTS SHORT MOVIE COMPETITION 2011) UAE Tamil Sangam is proud to say we are the first Sangam to organize Short Film Competition. It was grand success. Total 16 Movies got confirmed, due to work load, personal commitment & time limit. We got 11 movies. We are all ametured (New to Cine Industry – Direction, Editing, Dubbing, Mixing, Camera…). We spent few days and learned & achieved. MuyanRaal Mudiyaathathu Illai. It was unbelievable time we had. 2 months we spent day and night to make this Short Movie Competition grand success. With every once effort / blessings our UTS Short Movie 2011 was grand success. Special thanks to Metti Oli /Nadaswaram Director Mr. Thiru Murugan (FOR JUDGING AND AWARDING THE WINNERS FOR THIS COMPETITION). We requested Mr. Thiru Murugan to disclose the winners before 3 days of our Kalai Arangam 2011 to UAE Tamil Sangam team so that we can make necessary arrangements. But Mr. Thiru th Murugan refused to disclose the results. Even after he reached Dubai 24 November 2011 when asked he said you people waited so long why don’t you wait for few more hours. He appreciated each and every participants dedication, hard work, involvement and unity. UAE Tamil Sangam would like to thank all the families that participated in UTS Short Movie Competition. I through this email would like to pour my heart out. I am amazed at how every family member welcomes all the strangers with a smile and a warmth. No body is rejected. Even a two year old kid is allowed to dance...I doubt any other sangam will do this. Kudos to you Ganga ji. I have been members of various groups where only special committee members and their children perform. But here all are treated equally with love and respect without been biased on basis of caste, language, religion. The doors are open to all and I am happy to be part of this blessed group. Even your children need an applause. They are kind to everyone around. Not to forget Khadija...She is very patient. I have been regularly visiting the place for the past 10 days and never once I felt as a stranger. You both are special angels sent by God to spread the message of unity and love amongst us all. Ganga ji is so humble in approach with everyone....I bow down. The Sangam truly stands out as it promises- Serve humanity and Unite humanity. It is the best one ever formed. The medley was so cleverly intertwined to form such a beautiful garland, it was indeed a "Sangeetha Maalai "yesterday. I am still at awe with Ganga & Team, her organising skills are mind-blowing ! She was so cool and composed all the way. Honestly, we guys were so tensed about just arriving for the event on time and could not but wonder how you & your team handle the stress !! That actually reminds me to request for a special session on stress and time management tips by you !! "En uyir thozhi" concept was too good, apart from the awards that you received you deserve one more... Gokul and Aneesh rocked and as usual DD was at her best of wits.and humour. The hero of the evening, Director K.B's words are worth its weight in gold..at this age despite failing health, he made sure to stand and talk ! No wonder, old is gold !! There are no words to express about the fantastic show we witnessed yesterday. The name "Nambikkai Swarangal" is very apt. We are still talking about it and are not able to get over the emotions and the fulfillment of yesterday's program. We remembered through the year about the last year's Nambikkai Swaranagal, however there were no expectations last time. This year you had set expectations and we must say you not just didn’t disappoint us but you have exceeded our expectations. We take this opportunity to thank one and all who had worked relentlessly to make this program happen. It was very heartening to note that the program was supported not just by sponsors but by a very good and appreciative audience. All this makes us proudly feel that UTS has ensured to adequately mix entertainment with social responsibility as well. The credit goes to your team more specifically to you.
