Academic Projects: Master’s Thesis: Rendering of Virtual Views and Contents in Video. Advisor: Prof. Subhasis Chaudhuri • Proposed a novel approach for image based rendering based on depth regularization. • Developed an automated system to augment planar content in existing videos with application to virtual advertising. Master’s Seminar: Pitch Estimation in Noisy Audio Signal. Advisor: Dr. Sumantra Dutta Roy • Studied content based audio retrieval systems and proposed a classification for error in pitch-contour. Bachelor’s Project: Embedded web server. • Developed a low cost add on embedded system capable of exchanging data over the Ethernet. • Designed the hardware platform using 8051 micro-controller and implemented software drivers, TCP/IP stack, file system, and web server on it.

Invited lecture: “Image Processing: Spatial transforms and its applications” in a training program organized by Indian Society for Technical Education. Mentorship: Guided five interns at Sarnoff Corporation, for developing an automated mobile image enhancement tool and Blob tracking. Also, guided two students under “Undergraduate Research Opportunity" (UROP) program during Master's. Reviewer: Served as a reviewer for Meccanica Journal and the National Conference on Communications, India. Matrix Computation and Image processing Library: Developed a C++ library with support for 2D/1D Fourier transform, filtering, feature detection, mosaicing, morphing, matrix operation & decompositions and conjugate gradient based optimization routines. Computer Vision demos: Developed teaching aid for shape from shading and depth from defocus in Matlab. Miscellaneous: Was awarded Research Assistantship during my Master's studies. My duties also involved system administration of the computing facilities of Electrical Dept. at Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay. Thus, I have proficiency in system administration of Windows/ Linux/ UNIX, cluster deployment and management.
