[email protected] [email protected] The original newsletter was created using two different software titles: one being version 2.0 of Lotus Write and the second, Microsoft’s Paint (I believe the original version). When you try to combine the two you get application errors. That is why the newsletter was pasted up in old newspaper fashion. Script pages are done in Paint and are bitmapped and that explains the chunky look of the alphabet. I still have the old Canon photocopy machine that printed some darn good newsletters in its prime and it never showed any of my secrets unlike the scanner I am using today. Original subscribers to the newsletter only received photocopies of the pasted-up master. All motifs except for the turquoise bronze beaded motif are tatted in Anchor size 20. The turquoise thread is Olympus in size 40. (I hand dyed the thread that color.) The beads I used were Mill House Glass seed beads 11/0. There is a consistent mistake in the schematic drawings. The add-on bead should look like this:
Before attempting to tat the motifs that carry beads try tatting the bead-less versions first. When you become confident with those patterns then you should try the beaded versions.
