Our  first  professional  dress  day  will  be  on  Nov  6th.  Earn  one  point  for  being  dressed  professionally.  Pick  up  a  verification  form  in  room 1.397 before school on Friday!

T‐Shirts  will  be  here  TODAY!  If  you  ordered  a  shirt, stop by room 1.397 to pick it up. If you did  not  order  one,  there  are  a  few  extra  to  purchase. Bring $8 and buy one before they are  gone! 

SOCIAL COMMITTEE  Our first social event is American Enterprise Day  on Nov 18th. We will be passing out goodies to  members  during  lunch.  Our  first  committee  meeting  will  be  Nov  17th  after  school  in  room  1.397  from  2:15‐3:00  to  decorate  and  plan  for  the event. 

POINTS  We  will  be  implementing  a  Points  System  for  this  school  year.  Points  will  be  used  to  determine  eligibility  for  senior  stoles/cords,  becoming  an  officer  next  year  and  our  end  of  year bash. More info will be provided at the Nov  5th meeting.

FUNDRAISING COMMITTEE – NOVEMBER 4TH MEETING    to  put  There  will  be  a  Fundraising  Committee  meeting  on  Nov  4th  from  2:15‐3:30pm  together  our  fundraising  boxes.  If  you  are  interested  in  working  at  this  event,  please  RSVP  to  Mrs.  Lengsas  by  email  at  [email protected]  or  stop  by  room 1.397. You can help out with this activity even if you have not already signed up to  be on the Fundraising Comittee. 

FUNDRAISERS  FBLA candy sales will be from Nov 9th to 20th. The candy  has  been  purchased  and  the  fundraising  committee  will  meet on Nov 4th, after school to prepare the boxes. (It is  not too late to join the fundraising committee! See Mrs.  Lengsas if you are interested.) You will pick up your box  of candy at the Nov 5th meeting. 

GAME DAY  Our first Game Day will be on Nov 20th in room  1.397  from  6:50am‐7:20am.  Stop  by  to  play  board games with other FBLA members!

Chick‐Fil‐A Cow‐lendars will be sold Dec 7th to Jan 28th.  Please  encourage  customers  to  pre‐order  online  at  the MVHS FBLA website. This will help us decide how  many  calendars  to  order.  Please  promote  these  with  your friends, family, teachers, etc. If they order online,  they  can  pay  when  the  calendars  are  delivered.  Calendars  will  arrive  the  week  of  December  7th.  Members can pick up calendars to sell at that time.   

Every member is expected to participate in each fundraiser. You will earn one point for  each box of candy you sell and every 8 calendars you sell. 

COMMUNITY SERVICE COMMITTEE  We will begin our Dress for Success Suit Drive in  December. More details will be provided in the  December Newsletter!

BUSINESS ACHIEVEMENT AWARDS  The  FBLA  Business  Achievement  Awards  focus  on  the  words  surrounding  the  FBLA  Crest:  Service,  Education,  and  Progress. There  are four  distinct BAA levels: Future, Business, Leader, and America. Obtaining a BAA is required to be considered an Active FBLA Member. There will  be a BAA Meeting on Nov 11th from 6:50‐7:20am to learn how to use the online FBLA BAA system and to being working on your BAA. 

REGIONAL LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE  There will be a Regional Leadership Conference Information Meeting on Nov 19th from 6:50‐7:20am. At this meeting we will discuss FBLA  Competitions. If you are interested in competing this year for FBLA, you MUST attend this meeting. See the MVHS FBLA website for a list of  competitions that are available.
