Teaching Suggestions: Copy a book for each of your students. Fold a large piece of construction paper in half and glue the top page onto the “cover”. Staple the rest of the pages into the “book”. Copy the last page onto white construction paper. Have students choose their favorite picture. Color, cut, and hole punch the oval. Attach a piece of ribbon (about 5-8 inches) to the oval by tying it. Attach the same ribbon to the back inside cover of the book with a piece of tape. Students will then have a moving figure/bookmark to use throughout the story. You don’t have to read all of the stories…you could leave some pages empty and tell students to finish it up as they use their library cards over summer break. Happy Teaching!
