A.J. Brendel Mission Statement At Brendel Elementary our mission is to provide the highest quality education in a safe, caring and challenging community that allows for individual differences and learning styles.
Dear Parents, As we approach the holiday break and soon after, the end of the first semester, it is a good time to consider what our kids have accomplished so far this school year. It is pretty wonderful for me as their principal to get to know them (still learning names!!), and see their enthusiasm and growth as learners as well as their growing good citizenship. As educators and parents, we want all kids to achieve and expand to the utmost; all children need to express their interests and talents and to develop those amazing brains they have. But even more than that, we treasure watching them grow into caring, collaborative people. When I see children spontaneously helping each other, speaking kindly to someone who is sad, using good manners, treating a guest teacher with respect, persevering even when the work is tough or being a friend is tough, that is what truly warms my heart. We all know the world is full of smart people, but the folks who know how to work with others respectfully and can regulate their behavior with others and in general, are the folks who really find success and happiness in life. That is our goal at school; grow our students intellectually, emotionally, socially, and physically. We do that together, home and school. Thanks for entrusting your children to our Brendel staff, and we wish you a wonderful holiday break with family and friends! Play in the snow together…make a snowman, a fort or a snow angel! Play is food for the soul! Mrs. Goetz
M " ake sure that your children are dressed for the weather. Students will go outside unless it is raining or below 10 degrees. Make sure they have hats, gloves, boots, snow pants, scarves...
