Payment of rent and deposit must be made in advance. A deposit of $200.00 upon signing this agreement and the balance two weeks before the date of the event. IN THE EVENT OF CANCELLATION, THE DEPOSIT WILL BE FORFEITED. Evening bookings have a departure time of 9:00 PM (parking lot to be cleared of cars and noise by 9:15 pm)

Parking – angle parking spots on the STREET are designated SMALL CARS only This is a SAFETY issue for others exiting the facility (OVER)

THE PERSON SIGNING THE AGREEMENT IS RESPONSIBLE FOR GUESTS AND IS PERSONALLY RESPONSIBLE FOR DAMAGES TO THE PREMISES AND OUTSTANDING DEPOSIT OR RENTAL MONIES IF ANY.

THE PREMISES MUST BE LEFT IN A CLEAN AND TIDY STATE. THE SAME AS WHEN THE GROUP ARRIVED. IF CONSIDERABLE CLEAN UP MUST BE DONE BY THE ASSOCIATION, A CHARGE AGAINST THE RENTAL GROUP WILL BE LEVIED.

Decorations – Tacks, nails, and duct tape are NOT to be used on walls or ceilings for any purpose. All decorations must be removed by renter after the event. Please DO NOT move/remove pictures from the walls. Damages - All groups are to maintain good order on the premises and are responsible for damages beyond normal wear and tear. Alcohol – Alcohol will be permitted only upon the successful application of a Special Occasion License from the City of Kelowna. Duration - All events are to terminate not later than 9:00 p.m. with the premises to be cleared at that time. This is a requirement of the City of Kelowna license agreement. Bylaws - All events must conform to all applicable municipal or provincial laws, bylaws, or regulations, in particular those regulations relating to liquor permits, fire regulations, smoking, and noise or nuisance bylaws. Noise - Noise which disturbs the surrounding neighbours must be prevented. If complaints of noise are received the event may be terminated. Please note that noise carries extremely well around water, and that this is a residential neighbourhood. Clean-up - A clean-up and sweep of the premises used is required after every event. The premises shall be left in a clean and tidy condition; otherwise the damage deposit (or portion thereof) will be used to hire custodial assistance at $25.00 per hour. Cancellation - The event may be cancelled at COSBA’s option in the event of breach of any term or condition herein or otherwise, upon reasonable notice, and upon return of outstanding rent and/or damage deposit. This is a non-smoking building and grounds per current law. Smokers who choose to smoke at the side of the street are asked to ensure they clean up. NOTE: Boats with flammable substances are stored around the facility and present a fire hazard to careless smokers. Dogs - The facility and grounds specify NO DOGS. Thank you for your cooperation. Parking – Note that the outside angle parking spots are designated SMALL CARS only. Your rental is for the 2nd floor main room and kitchen, and the upper deck only –sailing and kayaking activities will continue downstairs.
