It is recommended that you bring at least 2 times the required stay days for prescriptions and dailyrequired medicines for the duration of your trip to New Zealand. We can supply you with a good quality rifle in a suitable caliber for the species you intend to hunt but if you prefer to bring your own that is no problem either.Ranges vary depending on the species and the terrain you are hunting in but typically are between 200 and 350 yards. With the tahr and chamois they can be out around 500 or beyond at times but this is less common. We recommend a minimum of 270 win. The 7mm or .30 cal wsm's and magnum calibers are a better choice for the bigger game and the longer shots. Bring at least 40 rounds of ammunition that you are familiar
