ARIZONA ATTORNEY MAGAZINE RECOGNIZES SNELL & WILMER PARTNER MATT FEENEY IN MUSIC CATEGORY OF CREATIVE ARTS COMPETITION PHOENIX (April 24, 2013) – Snell & Wilmer is pleased to announce that Matthew Feeney, a partner in the Phoenix office, was among the winners highlighted in the May 2013 issue of Arizona Attorney Magazine that featured the remarkable work of lawyer-artists who prevailed in the magazine’s annual arts competition. Feeney, along with his music partner and friend, Larry Winthrop, were awarded winners in the music category of the 2013 Creative Arts Competition for their song “The Reunion.” Feeney and Winthrop have been musical partners for nearly 30 years. Feeney is a senior partner at Snell & Wilmer, and Winthrop is a state appellate court judge. Together with the other members of feeney/winthrop (Pat Winthrop, Kathleen Feeney, and Gerry Garcia), they have recorded several CDs, with the last two (“Give Yourself to Love” and “Simple Gifts”) now available on iTunes and Amazon.com. The group’s annual fund-raising concerts have to date raised in excess of $100,000 for St. Joseph the Worker, a non-profit organization devoted to job training for the homeless. “The Reunion” is a song Feeney wrote after attending a wedding with college friends some years after graduation.
