SCHOLARSHIP BULLETIN (April 30, 2017) Hello again, seniors! Remember to keep checking your student e-mail account for future scholarship updates, especially around the 15th and 30th of each month. You may also read this bulletin online at www.bths201.org/east (click on Offices, Counseling, and Scholarships). In addition, a hard copy of this bulletin will be available to view in the Counseling Office. Remember that we counselors are here to help you with working through the college admission process. It can be challenging, so let us help you. See Mrs. Kumke to set up a time to meet. * Tips of the Month: 1. May 1 is known as National Decision Day, the day when colleges prefer to be notified of your admission decision. Not only should you notify the college which you plan to attend by that date, but you are also asked to inform the colleges to which you have been accepted but will not be attending. To do so, you may contact the college’s Undergraduate Admissions Office via e-mail, mail, or by phone. Check out the following link for more info: http://www.fastweb.com/college-search/articles/gear-up-for-national-decision-day. 2. Please plan to attend the Senior Honors Ceremony on Thursday, May 11, at 7:00 pm in the PAC. Many seniors will be recognized that evening, including recipients of several scholarships, the Excalibur Award, Departmental Honors nominees, and the top ten percent of the class of 2017. Students being recognized should plan to arrive by 6:30 pm and will sit on the stage. _____________________________________________________________________________________
