AIRPORT TRANSFER You have an option of travelling to Douala or Yaoundé by air. •International airport of Douala Participants will be received at the airport by the Local Organizing Committee (LOC). Transport for participants will be arranged from Douala to Yaoundé by road (250km for 3hours). Transport agencies are “Garanti Prestige” and “Central Voyage”. Cost: 6,000 CFA one way. •International Airport of Yaoundé Transport from airport to hotel will be arranged by the LOC.

AAIS 20TH BIENNAL MEETING – CAMEROON – 27 –31 October 2013 The Executive Committee of the AAIS and the Local Organising Committee cordially invite you to participate in this conference, which will be held in Yaoundé, Cameroon. The conference will provide a forum for effective communication and exchange of information and ideas between participants on various aspects of insect science, and promote advancement and dissemination of knowledge relevant to the needs of Africa.

REGISTRATION  Registration fees cover attendance at all sessions, the  welcome reception, congress dinner, morning and  l i di i d afternoon tea,  airport transfers, transfers between  designated hotels and conference venue. Cost of Registration

LANGUAGES The languages for the conference will be English and French. French Simultaneous translation services will be provided. SUBMISSION OF ABSTRACTS Abstracts should be sent to the Hon. Secretary of the AAIS (Email: [email protected], [email protected], [email protected]) not later than 30th June 2013(deadline). SELECTION AND NOTIFICATION PROCESS Notification of acceptance of contributions will be made by the end of July 2013. Abstracts (in English or French) should not exceed 300 words. They should be formatted in Times New Roman, 12 pt font size, single space, and presented as follows: Title in capital letters; Surname and initials of the authors in capital letters; Authors Authors’ affiliation and addresses. addresses The summary should contain: objectives of the study, materials and methods, results and conclusions.

ORAL PRESENTATIONS The presentation of the contributed papers is limited to 15 minutes including discussion. discussion All authors are invited to prepare their oral communications using PowerPoint. POSTERS The presentations on posters will be made on a surface of 90 cm x 90 cm. All the text should be readable at a distance of 2 meters. Deserving applicants may apply to the Secretariat for consideration.
