From the Principal Dear Parents and Guardians, I hope everyone is doing well. I can’t believe we have already finished up one month of school. We are really excited about this school year. The students were able to get back into the swing of things very quickly. I actually had a staff member state, “It’s like we didn’t have a break.” This past month we have really worked hard at collecting information on your child’s reading and math skills. This is helping us work on various learning paths when it comes to intervention and enrichment. Our staff are very determined to meet each student where they are with their learning in order to help each one grow. Our conferences will be taking place very soon and we encourage all of you to attend. Each child benefits from the team effort between families and teachers. As a building principal I know how important it is that we maintain a strong partnership for the benefit of each student. I hope to see all of you during conferences!

URGENT: Volunteers Needed!!!

20 Books Can Make a Difference! Kids who grow up in a home with as few as 20 books reach a higher level of education than those who don’t. Join us in sharing a love of reading with our students at the Isanti Primary School Scholastic Book Fair Oct. 11-Oct. 18. Tues., Oct 11 open 8am-8pm * Wed., Oct. 12 open 8am-4pm Thurs., Oct 13 open 8am-8pm Fri. Oct. 14 8am-4pm Mon., Oct. 17 open 8am-4pm Tues., Oct. 18 open 8am-8pm. ** *Join us Tues., Oct 11 for Family night 5pm-6pm to enter a drawing (prize delivered on Wed. morning to student) have a snack and make an origami pirate boat. **Tues., Oct 18 is our Grand Event 5pm-6pm where students can bring a special someone and have their picture taken with an instant camera and enjoy a snack. 👍👍Visit the Book Fair as a family 👍👍Talk with your child about what they are reading 👍👍Connect your child with books they want to read and build your home library 👍👍It’s a great way to ensure your child’s success

Book Fair: We need help Tuesday, Oct. 11th and

Thursday, Oct. 13th from 2:30-4:00 and then 4:008:00 PM. We also need help from 2:30-4:00 on Friday, Oct. 14th and Monday, Oct. 17th. A paid background check is a requirement for this volunteer opportunity. The cost is $10 and needs to be completed and paid for prior to volunteering.

Conference Dinner: A dinner will be provided to teaching staff on Thursday Oct. 13th. No background check is required. All items need to be here no later than 4:00 PM on the 13th. We also need help with setup and clean up from the dinner. Here is the link you can follow to sign up for the dinner. Family Access At the beginning of each school year we ask families to update their child's health information, family phone numbers, emergency contact numbers and email accounts online. Simply click on the Family Access tab on the IPS website. Changes can be requested under the Student Information Tab. You can get help with this process by contacting the main office at your child's school. PLEASE REVIEW AND/OR UPDATE throughout the school year.

Attendance Line Remember, if your child will be absent or late you can call our 24 hour attendance line. Please call that line early in the morning of your child’s absence. We do check that line each morning. The number is: 763-691-8770. For an attendance to be considered “excused” we must have a call or a note to the office and teacher explaining the absence. Thanks!
