November Mass of Remembrance Saggart/Rathcoole/Brittas The annual Mass of Remembrance for those who have died during the past twelve months will take place in Rathcoole Church on Friday 16th November at 7.30pm The families of those who have died since November last year are invited to attend. Because of this Mass, there will not be a Holy Hour in Rathcoole Church on Friday 16th.

CYC Annual Collection This Weekend The annual collectionfor the diocesan agency, Catholic Youth Care, will be held at all Masses this weekend. It will replace the normal SHARE Collection. Catholic Youth Care supports and services youth work and youth ministry throughout the Dublin Diocese. Through our various services and programmes to young people and youth groups, we reach out to many of the most marginalised young people in the Archdiocese.

Altar List of the Dead In each of the churches, envelopes for the Altar List of the Dead are available. Mass on the First Friday of each month is offered for all those whose names are on the Altar List of the Dead.

Rathcoole Church Fundraising The Fundraising Committee for Rathcoole Church will be taking a stall at the Christmas Fair on Nov. 16/17 to purchase some extras for Rathcoole Church. We would be grateful for any good bric-a-brac items: cakes, plants, good toys etc. Please bring items to Masses on Nov 10/11 or to stall holders on the day. Contact Margaret: 087-2663892. A new Parish council will be formed in January 2013. Nominations are requested to fill a number of vacancies. St. Finian’s Church 200 Years We are still on target in our hope to produce a book to celebrate the 200 years of St. Finian’s Catholic Church in 2013. The 19th century, the 20th century and the 38 years since the constitution of St. Finian’s Parish in 1974 are all part of the story. As well as the church itself and all the people who were involved with it over the years, we are getting a picture of what the village and the extended parish was like over that period of time. People are all important, their stories and their pictures will make this project a personal, local history. Maybe you have a story to add. Talk to any of the Folk Group – they would love to record your story and include it in the mix. Come on, get into that box of photographs (or digital archive) and pull out one or two good ones – have your family represented. Your photographs will be scanned and returned quickly. Miscarriage Association of Ireland Annual Service of Remembrance Sunday 11th November 2012 at 3pm St. Teresa’s Church, Donore Avenue Off South Circular Road, Dublin 8. Good News To Go The Gospel for Young People Good News To Go! Will take place on Thursday 14th November (Feast of St. Laurence O’Toole) in St. Teresa’s Church, Clarendon St @ 7:30pm. It is for young people and during the Year of Faith it will explore some themes of faith and living the Gospel. Catechesis will be led by Fr. Brian Shortall OFM CAP – he will focus on Service of the Gospel and remembering those who have died recently. Music led by Ian Callanan. Restorative Justice Week November 11th - 18th Prisoners and their families are often the forgotten members of our communities and this is an opportunity for all of us to remember them. It is also a time to remember the victims of crime and to remember and pray for communities most affected by crime. During the coming week Restorative Justice will feature on The Living Word on RTE Radio 1 each morning.
