Daruma no Gakko
Registration opens January 21, 2017 Daruma no Gakko is a 4-week summer program that teaches children, grades K- 6, to develop strong, positive self-image and identity about Japanese American culture through art, literature, food, music, language, and history. Students in different grades will learn and experience things like; traditional Japanese food through cooking and sushi making, Papermaking, Origami, Woodworking, Tea Ceremony, Ikebana, Soroban, Japanese American history and much, much more! 2017 Summer Session dates are June 19th – July 13th Classes are held Monday - Thursday, 9am to Noon BMUC, 1710 Carleton Avenue, Berkeley, CA Tuition $375 per student (K-6th grade) *Introducing New Afternoon Programming* This summer we are piloting an add-on afternoon session to supplement the regular DNG morning session. The afternoon program will immediately follow the morning session from 12 3:30 pm. Tuition for the afternoon program is an additional $350 per child.
