Our faculty, staff, and administration have committed themselves to establishing a culture of competence, collaboration, trust and respect. In addition to ensuring students are proficient in Reading, Writing, and Mathematics, we make a commitment to give students the opportunity to develop his/her talents in the Arts and Athletics.
We understand this comprehensive experience contributes to maximizing the personal and academic potential of each of our students. Committed to Excellence We soon will bid farewell to the 2016 Senior Class of Fairfield Central High School. Out of the 182 seniors, more than half of the senior class has received offers to join the military or enroll in college or a university.
Who Are We Fairfield County School District serves over 2800 students in grades Child Development to twelfth grade. Students are served by 9 schools in Fairfield County including 5 elementary schools, 1 middle school, 1 high school, 1 alternative school, and 1 career and technology center. As a part of the Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act of 2010, the school district participates in the 2014-2015 Community Eligibility Provision which allows Fairfield County Schools to provide free breakfast and lunch to all students. All schools in Fairfield County qualify for Title I funding.

STEM Early College Academy Beginning in the seventh grade, students have the opportunity to take rigorous coursework that will lead to a two year Associate’s Degree in Science from Midlands Technical College. DUKE UNIVERSITY TALENT IDENTIFICATION PROGRAM Fifteen middle school students and 65 elementary were identified for the Duke TIP Program. The program identifies students with strong intellectual abilities who achieved a qualifying score at or above the 95th percentile on a 6th grade state standardized test (ACT Aspire and/or SCPASS).

1:1 Chromebook Initiative During the 2013-2014 school year, FCSD rolled out a 1:1 device initiative – equipping students in grades 3-12 with an electronic device that would enable student to tap into of a world of resources, communicate with others across the classroom or around the world, and problem solve using a variety of tools and applications. The district will soon expand its initiative to include students in the second grade. The district’s goal is to provide students with blended learning opportunities and relevant experiences that would enable them to compete in the 21st century.
