Obtained at least 3rd position by representing the Country in the World Cup (Junior/ Senior)/World Championships (Junior/Senior)/Asian Games (Senior) / Commonwealth Games (Senior), except Gold Medal in Asian Games. II. Norms for Group 'C' recruitment in PB 1 ` 5200-20200 Grade Pay ` 1900/2000 - (9 posts) Educational Qualification: Minimum SSC / Matriculate Sports Achievements: a. Represented the Country in the World Cup (Junior/ Senior), World Championships (Junior/Senior), Asian Games (Senior) & Commonwealth Games (Senior) OR b. Represented the country in the Commonwealth Championship (Junior/Senior)/ Asian Championship /Asia Cup(Junior/Senior)/South Asian Federation (SAF) Games (Senior)/ USIC (World Railways) Championship (Senior) OR b. Represented a State or equivalent Unit in Federation Cup Championships (Senior category) and obtained at least 3rd position OR c. Represented a State or equivalent unit in Senior/Youth/Junior National Championships OR d. Represented all Units or District of the State in the Senior State Championship and obtained at least 3rd position. NOTE (a) In Athletics, medal winning performance in National Inter State Senior Athletics Championships, may also be considered for recruitment against the posts having Grade Pay ` 1900 in Pay Band ` 5200-20200. (c) Junior National Championships are recognized as under only:Athletics- Under 20, Basketball–Under 18, Boxing-Under 16, Cycling (Road only)- Under 19, Wrestling-Under 20, Tennis-Under 18 (i) DSCL National Tennis Championship (for all age groups) (ii) Adidas Jr. National Tennis Championship (for under 18 and below age groups) (3) Age Limit : Minimum 18 years and maximum 25 years as on 01.01.2012. (4) Period of reckoning sports achievements : Only those Sports persons who have participated in the Championships on or after 01/04/2009 and are active will be eligible to apply for the appointment against Sports Quota. (5) Examination Fee : Demand Draft/Indian Postal Order of ` 60/- for Group ‘C’ post, PB-1 ` 5200-20200+ ` 2400/or 2800/- (GP) and ` 40/- for PB-1 ` 5200-20200+ ` 1800/- or 1900/- or 2000/- (GP). DD/IPO should be drawn in favour of Assistant Personnel Officer (Recruitment & Training), North Western Railway, Jaipur. Demand draft should be of any nationalised/scheduled bank, payable at Jaipur. IPO should be payable at G.P.O.Jaipur. These DD/IPO are non-refundable in any case. SC/ST, minorities, and economically backward class candidates are exempted from paying above fee on producing/enclosing of necessary certificate with application form. Economically backward candidates are those whose family income is less than ` 50,000/- p.a. (6) Last date of receipt of application is 31/10/2011 up to 17 Hrs. After this, no application will be accepted. Railway will not be responsible for any postal delay/loss. The application should be sent by ordinary post only in a closed envelope or to dropped in the application box provided for the purpose in the Railway Recruitment Cell, North Western Railway, Durgapura Railway Station, Jaipur-302018 up to 17.00 Hrs. on 31/10/2011. No receipt will be given at any counter. Applications sent by Registered Post/Courier/By Registered AD will not be accepted. Any deficiency/discrepancy found in the application and papers submitted by the applicant will render the application invalid. On the top of the envelope “APPLICATION FOR RECRUITMENT AGAINST SPORTS QUOTA FOR THE YEAR 2011-12” should be superscribed. (7) Recruitment Procedure:
All eligible candidates will be called for Trial and after Trial only the FIT candidates will be called for Interview. Candidates declared NOT FIT by the Trial Committee will not be assessed further by the Recruitment Committee. (8) Important Instructions : [8.1] Candidates should bring Original Documents along with two sets of self attested photo copies of Date of Birth (Matriculation or equivalent Certificate), Educational Qualification, Sports Achievements, Caste/Community Certificate etc. on the day of trial and interview, without which they will not be allowed to appear in the Selection. Certificates in languages other than English or Hindi should be accompanied by an attested translation in English/Hindi. All documents should be self attested. No TA/DA/Accommodation will be given for appearing in the selection trials/interview. They have to bring their own playing kit and two passport size colour photographs also. They may also be required to stay during the selection for 2-3 days, for which they have to make their own arrangements. The Railway Administration have all rights reserved to fix any date, as deemed suitable, change place or postpone trials/interview (at its own convenience), or even cancel due to unforeseen circumstances against which no claim will be accepted. Selected candidates may be posted anywhere on North Western Railway. [8.2] Candidate applying for more than one game/event shall submit separate applications with separate DD/IPO and documents for each event. [8.3] Candidates those who are already in service and eligible for the above must apply through proper channel and should attach No Objection Certificate for the same from their employer. [8.4] Candidates should be in readiness to appear for the Trials etc. at short notice after the last date for submission of application is over. [8.5] Candidates’ admission at all stages of the recruitment will be purely provisional subject to satisfying the prescribed eligibility conditions. Mere issue of call letters to the candidate will not imply that his candidature has been finally cleared. [8.6] Sports persons recommended for appointment will have to pass medical test prescribed for the post to which they have been recommended. [8.7] The decision of Railway Administration/Selection Committee in all matters relating to eligibility, acceptance or rejection of application and assigning of Post & Grade Pay etc. will be final and binding on the candidates and no inquiry or correspondence will be entertained in this connection. [8.8] Candidates should submit their application form in good quality A/4 size paper on prescribed format as given in notification duly completed in all respect with self attested photo copies of necessary enclosures (certificate of age, education, sports achievements, caste/community etc.) [8.9] Application should be filled up by candidates in their own hand writing either in Hindi or in English language. (9) Any of following deficiency/discrepancy found in the application and papers submitted by the applicant will render the application invalid:[9.1] Applications not on prescribed format and incomplete or illegible applications.
