DOLA’s Colorado Outdoor Recreation Search and Rescue Cards Available
The Department of Local Affairs reminds Colorado residents and visitors that if you like to participate in the wide variety of outdoor activities our state has to offer, consider the purchase of a Colorado Outdoor Recreation Search and Rescue card (CORSAR). Last year 1,236 search and rescue missions were conducted in Colorado. Dedicated volunteer teams work throughout the state year-round to aid people who are in distress or danger and the cost of these missions are often in the thousands of dollars. By purchasing a CORSAR card you are contributing to Colorado's Search and Rescue fund, which will reimburse these teams for the costs they incur to provide help.
DHSEM Update
The CORSAR card is available for $3 for a one-year and $12 for five-year card and can be purchased at over 300 retailers in the state. State fishing, hunting and boating license fees already includes the fee. Visitwww.colorado.gov/sar to learn more.
