Educational Resources Identification Theft Resources from Colorado Bureau of Investigations The Colorado Bureau of Investigations has provided three identification theft resources in response to the recent data breach with Target, holiday shopping and the concerns of state employees after employee information was compromised. The most important things to remember are: 1. Monitor your accounts closely and immediately notify your bank or credit union if you notice any suspicious activity. 2. Contact your bank or credit union and let them know if you have been a victim of a data breach. Your bank will have a range of options to protect your accounts. 3. Place a fraud alert on your credit with the credit reporting agencies. Please see today’s blog posting on READYColorado.com that contains three resources to download and share in your community or online.
